About our Planes
Founded in 2022 with a single Piper Saratoga, Capital Air Express was built around a simple idea: private aviation doesn’t always require a jet. For regional travel, modern piston aircraft offer an efficient, comfortable, and far more practical way to fly private. By operating a growing fleet of Piper Saratogas, Malibus, and Navajos, we’re able to provide the flexibility and convenience of private charter without the cost and complexity of larger aircraft.
Our fleet is purpose-built for regional trips, connecting passengers directly to thousands of smaller airports across the Southern United States. That means less time spent driving to major airports, navigating crowded terminals, making connections, or arranging transportation hours away from your actual destination. Instead, you fly on your schedule, from an airport convenient to you, directly to the airport closest to where you need to be.
With comfortable cabins, club seating, air conditioning, and in-flight Wi-Fi available throughout our fleet, Capital Air Express combines the personal experience of private aviation with the practicality of piston aircraft. Whether you’re traveling for business, visiting family, heading to a second home, or simply trying to turn a long drive into a short flight, our goal is to make private charter a useful part of the way you travel—not just a luxury reserved for special occasions.
Piper Navajo
The twin-engine Piper Navajo brings added flexibility, space, and capability to the Capital Air Express fleet. With seating for up to 6 passengers, a spacious cabin, generous baggage capacity, and the added confidence of twin-engine performance, the Navajo is ideal for regional business travel, family trips, golf weekends, and group flights throughout the Southeast and beyond. Please note: The Navajo is not yet available in Texas and Oklahoma.
Key Features:
Club Seating for 4 adults plus 2 additional forward facing seats: The Navajo can accommodate up to approximately 1,400 lbs of passengers and luggage on a typical 2-hour flight, depending on operating conditions. Its generous baggage capacity provides room for four sets of golf clubs, hunting and fishing gear, baby equipment, or luggage for the whole group.
Dual crew on every flight: Our Piper Navajo is operated with a two-pilot crew, adding an extra layer of safety, professionalism, and operational support to every flight.
Twin Engine Performance: Cruise at approximately 230 mph, making the Navajo an excellent option for efficient regional travel.
